Description
Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India, established in 1936, and is located in Nainital district, Uttarakhand. It was originally named Hailey National Park, and later renamed after Jim Corbett, a legendary hunter-turned-conservationist. It is one of the best places in India to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger in the wild.
Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi → Jim Corbett (Approx. 250 km / 6–7 hrs drive)
Early morning pick-up from Delhi by private car/train
Drive through scenic roads via Hapur, Moradabad, and Ramnagar
Check-in to resort near Jim Corbett National Park (e.g., Mohaan, Dhikuli)
Welcome drink & relax after lunch
Evening nature walk near Kosi River / village visit
Dinner and overnight stay at resort
Day 2: Jungle Safari + Sightseeing
Early Morning Jeep Safari (6:00–9:30 AM) in Bijrani or Jhirna Zone
Explore wildlife such as tigers, elephants, deer, peacocks, and exotic birds.
Return to resort for breakfast and rest
Afternoon visit:
Garjiya Devi Temple (riverside temple on a rock)
Corbett Museum (in Kaladhungi, former home of Jim Corbett)
Optional activities: swimming pool, spa, or indoor games at the resort
Evening safari (if booked in advance)
Dinner and overnight stay
Day 3: Jim Corbett → Delhi
Optional morning safari (if not done on Day 2)
Breakfast and check-out from resort
